Roads, helicopters on agenda for Storey commissioners

VIRGINIA CITY - Discussion and possible action on requests related to two road races are on Tuesday's agenda for the Storey County Commissioners' meeting.

Permission to allow helicopter rides to be offered during the Grand Prix Motorcycle Race scheduled May 13-14 was requested by Rod Carr.

And discussion of the annual Ferrari Hill Climb planned for June 24-25 is also on the agenda.

The commissioners will meet at 10 a.m. in the Storey County Courthouse.

Other agenda items include:

-- An update on the Nevada Department of Transportation's road construction plans for 2000.

-- Discussion of the Truckee River Ranch property's water rights.

-- Discussion and possible action regarding a mutual agreement between Storey County and the Nevada Division of Forestry.

-- A participatory agreement for home health care between Storey County and Nevada Home Health Care Services.

-- Discussion and possible action regarding stairs between D and Washington streets and C Street in Virginia City,

-- Discussion and possible action regarding drainage at 144 Elizabeth Way in Mark Twain.
