Rock Kicker's club open to fossil and mineral hunters

The Children's Museum of Northern Nevada will host Ernie Kastenbein as guest teacher for the after-school program called the Rock Kickers Club from 3 to 5 p.m. Tuesday Jan. 25.

Kastenbein is a longtime Nevada mineral and fossil collector who has roamed around most of the mountains in northern Nevada looking for earth's treasures. He will show the Rock Kickers some of his collection of minerals, fossils and polished rocks. The Rock Kickers Club is open to children from 6 to 15 years of age. Cost is $4 each and scholarships are available.
