Snowshoers will gather at Northstar-at-Tahoe in Truckee on Sunday to raise money for breast cancer research.
The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation will benefit from proceeds raised during the Tahoe Discovery Snowshoe Festival.
The festival will be from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Sunday.
Events include a 3-5K walk/hike; a scenic 2-hour guided tour and the 5K competitive race. Registration fee $20 adults, $13 seniors/children, in advance.
The price goes up to $25 for adults and $18 for children and seniors on the day of the event.
