The California State Parks System - Sierra District is offering a special class on cross country skiing on Sunday. It is for people who can ski, want more instruction, but don't consider themselves beginners (advanced-beginners).

The class will be held at Sugar Pine Point State Park, which is located 10 miles south of Tahoe City, Calif., on S.R. 89.

Anyone interested in the free, 2-hour class is requested to meet at the cross country trail parking lot at the park at 10 a.m.

They are also requested to bring their own cross country ski equipment, a snack, drinks and to wear layer clothing for variable weather.

For information, call (530) 525-7232 during regular business hours.
