Sheriff's blotter

The following people were taken into custody by the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in court:

-- Roberto Cuevas Velasquez, 25, of Carson City, a truck driver, was arrested at 2:55 a.m. Saturday in the 1900 block of Nichols Lane for the investigation of battery with substantial bodily harm. Bail was set at $15,000.

-- Ernest Joseph Hernandez, 25, of Carson City, a fast food worker, was arrested at 2:16 p.m. Friday in the 2100 block of California Street for the investigation of eluding police and endangering person or property, being an ex-felon and failing to change address, no proof of insurance and reckless diving with wanton disregard. Bail was set at $21,520.

-- Cody Scott McChesney, 21, of Carson City, a maintenance worker, was arrested at 3 p.m. Friday in the 100 block of East Long Street on a warrant out of Carson City Parole and Probation for the investigation of possession of a controlled substance. Bail was set at $2,500.

-- Ulysses Elliott Blue, 27, of Carson City, no occupation noted, was arrested at 5 p.m. Friday in the 1600 block of North Carson Street for the investigation of forgery, attempted forgery and possession of stolen property. Bail was set at $32,500.

-- Larry Norell Goosby, 22, of Carson City, a laborer, was arrested at 9:35 p.m. Friday in the 1300 block of Green Court for the investigation of domestic battery with three or more prior convictions, and a probation violation. He is being held without bail.

The Carson City Sheriff's Department responded to the following calls Friday:

-- An arrest at 3:30 p.m. Friday at Washington and Plaza streets for the investigation of possession of drug paraphernalia.

-- An arrest at 6:55 p.m. Friday on Highway 50 East for the investigation of first-offense DUI and failure to use due care.

-- A report at 10:58 a.m. Friday in the 700 block of Broadleaf Lane of a vehicle burglary.

-- A report at 3:37 p.m. Friday of grand larceny in the 600 block of South Roop Street.

-- A report at 4:04 p.m. Friday of a hit-and-run accident on North Harbin Avenue.

-- A report at 4:11 p.m. Friday of fraud in the 3400 block of North Carson Street.

-- A report at 7:29 p.m. Friday of vehicle damage in the 1000 block of North Saliman Road.

-- A report at 11:05 p.m. Friday of a domestic battery in the 1300 block of Como Street.
