What began as an addition to an existing business took on a life of its own.

Ken Brown and Brent Klein recently opened Envisions Signs as a complimentary business to ForceFed Racing, a performance parts specialist they've operated for three years.

Envisions Signs began when many of their performance parts customers sought special body graphics for their custom cars.

"We used to farm it all out," Brown said. "It got to the point we decided to do it ourselves."

Recently, Envision Signs became a separate business, expanding into the store-front next door.

Envision Signs specializes in vinyl printing for vehicle graphics, decals and back-lit signs, Brown explained.

They use a thermal transfer printer that produces a vinyl product with exceptional resolution and durability.

"We can print 22.5 inches wide and as long as you want," Brown said. Most companies produce images 11.7 inches wide. For large projects, such as the side of a bus, they can print in sections, or tiles.

Envision Signs prints designs provided by the customer or can produce an original design for a car or a sign.

"Bring us your artwork and we'll convert it for you, or give us an idea and we'll design it on the computer for you," Brown said. "If you can print it at home on your computer, I can print it here."

Brown and Klein are also willing and able to accommodate their customers' schedules.

"We're willing to go on site," he said. "Our software is on our laptop to allow us to work on site."

Envision Signs is located at 213 Sage St. Unit 3 in Carson City. Call (775) 884-4422 or e-mail to Sales@EnvisionSigns.com.
