The 18th annual Firearms Engravers and Gunmakers Exhibition will be held at the Silver Legacy Hotel and Casino in Reno on Feb. 8-10.

This special exhibition is the joint product of the American Custom Gunmakers Guild and the Firearms Engravers Guild of America. It will also feature invited members of the American Bladesmith Society.

The exhibition is a collection of the finest artisans in the areas of fine custom gunmaking and engraving.

By attending the show, the public will have an opportunity to view world-renowned quality usually seen only in the Arms and Armor sections of museums. Exhibitors participating are from all areas of the United States.

To give additional diversification to the event the guilds have invited master members of the American Bladesmith Society to exhibit exquisite creations of forged swords, folders and knives.

One of the features of the exhibition will be the raffle of a custom-built, big bore, .404 African rifle. It was created similar to what might have been commissioned by a young British civil servant headed to Africa in the early 20th century. Tickets for the set including the rifle, case by Marvin Huey and custom knife by Kieth Kilby are $20 each. The raffle drawing will be held on Feb. 10 at 3:30 p.m.

Friday: Noon-6 p.m.

Saturday: Noon -5 p.m.

Sunday: 10 a.m.-4 p.m.

Admission is $20 per day.
