Douglas High graduate Chris Chappell had an outstanding effort in the pole vault for the University of Arizona men's track team this past weekend.
Chappell cleared 17 feet, 1 1/2 inches to place fourth in the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Championships Indoor Meet in Flagstaff, Ariz. As a team, the Arizona men placed third (99 points) behind Washington State (117) and UCLA (132).
