Eagle Valley Golf announce the promotion of Mike Browning to the position of Head Golf Professional at Eagle Valley Golf Course. Browning grew up in Fallon, and after a brief hiatus, has been a resident of Northern Nevada for the past 15 years.

Browning says he always knew he wanted to be a golf professional. In the spring of 1992 he started his career, spending the next four years working at Lakeridge Golf Course in Reno. In 1996, he and Jeff Sparks, the current General Manager of Empire Golf Ranch, were asked to open the new golf course in Fernley. The two of them were then given the chance to open Empire Ranch Golf Course in the spring of 1997.

Browning spent the next few years there, where he developed and sharpened his golf course management skills. In the summer of 2001, he started working in the Pro Shop at Eagle Valley Golf Club. He has since been instrumental in reviving the Eagle Valley Men's Club, secured exclusive merchandising rights

in Carson City with Nike Golf for the pro shop, and was involved in the complete refurbishment of the driving range earlier this year.

With the excellent condition of both courses and the driving range, Eagle Valley Golf officials say they are looking forward to a banner year and that Browning makes a welcome addition to the management team.
