Charles Stapleton of Portland, Ore. recently hit his first
hole-in-one on the 17th hole on Eagle Valley Golf's East Course. Using a 4-iron from the white tee, a distance of 148 yards, Stapleton said he corrected for the wind and hit a perfect shot that landed 10 inches in front of the pin and rolled straight in. Oliver Kinney, Bob Perkins, and Dick Truett were witnesses.
