The Douglas County Parks and Recreation Department will begin taking signups for summer adult softball.
Returning teams can sign up from March 4 through 16 and new teams can begin to sign up after March 16. Priority will be given to returning teams, but returning teams that sign up after March 16 will not be guaranteed a space.
Payment is required at the time of registration. All games will be played at Lampe Park.
The schedule will be: Women's league -- Monday and Wednesday nights; men's B -- Tuesday and Thursday nights; men's C -- Monday and Wednesday nights; men's D -- Wednesday and Friday nights; and coed -- Friday nights.
Cost is $630 per team for the men's and women's leagues for a minimum of 18 games and a double elimination tournament and $410 for the coed league for a minimum of 10 games and a double elimination tournament.
Mandatory managers meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday April 2 for the men's leagues and 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 3 for the women's and coed leagues. Both meetings will be held at the Recreation Annex, 1327 Waterloo Lane, Gardnerville.
