Sage Smith, Austin Buyak, Andrew Gutreez, Steven Rivera and Austin Pacheco all had tackles for losses for Carson's defense. Colin McCulloch, Anthony Peek and Dylan Sawyers led the pass defense, which didn't allow a completion.

In addition, Austin Brown, Levi Carter, Ian Friesall, Josh Garcia, Corwin McIntosh and Kyle Richard all played well defensively. Carson allowed Sparks to cross midfield only twice.

Offensively, Pacheco connected with McCulloch and Sawyers for 45 yards of passing. Sawyers scored three touchdowns and an extra point.

"This team dia great job," coach Al Teixeira said. "They have really pulled it together and are clicking on all cylinders.

Carson's only loss came by seven points to the Wildcats. "We are hoping to play th Wildcats in the playoffs," Teixeira said. "We would sure like a second chance at them. If not, we are hoping we would get to play against Douglas."
