A Minden man was offering a reward Friday after his company truck was vandalized while parked outside a Carson City bar last week.

Jerry Florence, of Florence Fence LLC, said he parked his truck alongside the northwest side of Joe Bob's Hot Springs Roadhouse on Hot Springs Road to hide it from a friend whose surprise party he and his wife were attending April 5.

A few hours later, when the couple emerged from the building, they discovered all four tires on the bronze-colored 2003 Dodge Dakota were slashed and the culprit had scratched deep grooves into both doors on the truck through the company logo.

"I've never had any problem at my house, or anywhere else my trucks have been, so I don't know why it happened Saturday," he said.

Florence said he is offering a $500 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of whomever was responsible for damaging his truck.

"We had a good time that night," he said. "It's too bad it was ruined."

Anyone with information about the crime is asked to call the Carson City Sheriff's Department at 887-2500, case number is: 2003-2532.
