A service for Claire D. Mertzke, 78, a Carson City resident for the past 21 years, will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Lone Mountain Cemetery in Carson City.
Mrs. Mertzke died April 15, 2003. She was born Aug. 23, 1924, to Cecil Brink and Dorothy Holcomb in Conesville, New York.
She married Arthur J. Mertzke on Dec. 4, 1961 in Reno. She enjoyed gardening and traveling.
Before she moved to Carson City, Mrs. Mertzke lived in San Dimas, Calif. She was a bookkeeper and accountant for many years.
Mrs. Mertzke was a member of St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church.
Among her survivors is her husband Arthur of Carson City.
Inurnment will be at Lone Mountain Cemetery. Cremation will done by Fitzhenry's Crematory.
