A segment featuring a Gardnerville family involved in a serious January 2001 accident will air on "It's a Miracle" at 11 p.m. Friday on the PAX network (channel 9 on Charter).

The story of George and Jill Fujii and their children Tave Kuckhoff, Shane Miller and Kodi Fujii was selected from a pool of more than 4,000 submissions.

Jill Fujii was thrown through the windshield of her Ford Expedition while her son, Shane, remained in the car through four flips. Both sustained minor injuries.

Film crews from "It's a Miracle," hosted by Roma Downey, worked for nearly 22 hours in late November shooting footage from the accident scene and at the Fujiis' home and business, West Coast Martial Arts and Gymnastics.

Jill Fujii said there has been interest from other shows on other networks in recreating the accident, but nothing concrete has been determined.
