A funeral for Stanley R. Menesini, 47, a Winnemucca resident, will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Freitas Rupracht Funeral Home in Yerington with the Rev. Tom Chism officiating.
Mr. Menesini died Dec. 6, 2003, at his home. He was born Jan. 26, 1956, in Yerington, to Daniel and Virginia Menesini.
His early years were spent in Yerington where he played numerous sports. He went on to play basketball and baseball for Yerington High School before graduating in 1974.
He attended Mesa Community College in Mesa, Ariz., before moving back to Nevada to complete a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Nevada, Reno in 1979.
After graduation, Mr. Menesini moved to Winnemucca where he worked for Sierra Pacific Power Co. in administration for the past 24 years. He was an avid sportsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing, fishing trips to Alaska and Canada and golf.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Among his survivors are daughter Andrea; mother Virginia and great-aunt Myrtle Bennett, all of Reno; brother and sister-in-law Jeff and Kim; niece, Candice; nephew, Justin of Carson City and numerous other relatives and friends.
Freitas Rupracht Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
