A Florida man was killed when his pickup truck drifted off Highway 50 and rolled over about 40 miles east of Fallon on Saturday evening.

E.R. Templeton, 40, was headed west in a black, 1999 Ford when the accident occurred at about 5 p.m., according to the Nevada Highway Patrol. He was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the truck.

The Lantana, Fla., man was pronounced dead by Churchill County deputies before medical personnel arrived at the scene, said Trooper James Farmer Jr.

Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash.

"Evidence of alcohol use was found at the scene," Farmer said.
