A funeral for Chris C. Loreno, 84, a Minden resident for the past 13 years, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at FitzHenry's Carson Valley Funeral Home.
Viewing will be from 10-11 a.m. Friday at FitzHenry's.
Mr. Loreno died Dec. 28, 2003, at Carson-Tahoe Hospital.
He was born April 22, 1919, in Maxwell, N.M., to Ben and Mary Ferraro Loreno.
Before moving to Minden, he lived in Southern California.
Mr. Loreno worked at Universal Studios in special effects, retiring in 1981.
He served in the U.S. Navy from 1941 to 1947.
Among his survivors are his wife of 57 years, Marjori, of Minden; brother, Sam; sisters Clara Jepsen and Carol Arsena; and many nieces and nephews.
Burial will be at Eastside Memorial Park.
Memorial contributions may be made to The Christ Presbyterian Church in Gardnerville.
