Robert Edward Lamkin, 80, a Carson City area resident for the past 25 years, died Dec. 30, 2003, at Carson-Tahoe Hospital. He was born Feb. 20, 1923, in Texas to Mark and Mary Vaughn Lamkin.

Before moving to this area, he lived in Los Angeles.

Mr. Lamkin was the past owner-operator of Bob's Texaco Service in Carson City.

He enjoyed boating, target shooting and spending time with his family.

Among his survivors are his wife, Patricia of Carson City; sons Robert Lee of Carson City and William Mark of Los Angeles; brother, Tom of Texas; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

At his request, there will be no service.

Cremation will be at FitzHenry's Funeral Home, which is in charge of arrangements.
