Mary Joanne Lettice, 82, a Carson City resident for the past two years, died Jan. 29, 2003, in Carson City. She was born July 14, 1920, in Newton, Mass.
She was preceded in death by her husband William James Jr. and son William James III.
Among her survivors are her sons John of Averton, Calif., Patrick of Oakland, Colin of Carson City and Alan of Petaluma, Calif.; brother John Fred Smith of New Hampshire; sister Jacqueline Callahan of Boston and four grandchildren.
Services will be held in Alexandria, Va.
Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
