State politics junkies can now find up-to-the-minute information about the 2003 Nevada State Legislature by calling a state hot line during regular business hours.

The Nevada State Library and Archives is providing the free hotline throughout the session. The hot line opened Monday and will run through June 2.

Operated out of the Legislative Building in Carson City, the hot line provides callers with information on Nevada legislative activities, according to a release. Services include status updates and summaries of bills, committee agendas and schedules, contact information and identification of bills by subject.

Callers can also request copies of bills and available informational handouts.

Legislative hotline numbers are:

Statewide -- 1-800-995-9080;

Las Vegas -- (702) 486-2626;

Carson City -- 684-1385.

Available: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays
