Obituary: Robert Thomas Meloskie

A memorial service for Robert Thomas Meloskie, 77, a Carson City resident for the past four years, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at FitzHenry's Chapel of Faith.

A reception will immediately follow at the Old Assembly Chambers in the Capitol.

Mr. Meloskie died Feb. 7, 2003, at his home. He was born Aug. 20, 1925, in Wharton, N.J., to Charles and Mary O'Casey Meloskie.

Before moving to Carson City, he lived in Sunnyvale, Calif.

Mr. Meloskie was Western Regional Manager and Division Manager for Drexel Heritage Furnishings for 35 years. He was a member of the San Francisco 49er Booster Club in the Bay area and the International Home Furnishing Representative Association. He enjoyed golf.

He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

Among his survivors are his wife, Nikki of Stagecoach; sons Jason Hotchkiss of Tracy, Calif., Jonathan Hotchkiss of Pendleton, Ore., and Michael Gallagher of Stagecoach; adopted sons Mark Flegel, Brooks Roughton, Bill Hettich, Jay Dameron and Daniel Villalovos; daughters Patricia Meloskie and Meaghann Gallagher of Stagecoach; adopted daughters Lynne Cummings of Mexico and Karen Villalovos; brother, Charles of Netcong, N.J.; sister, Madelyn Hastie of San Francisco; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and best friends Marilyn and Harry Fox and Carla and Bruce Kain.
