The State of California Off-Highway Vehicle (OHV) noise regulations changed effective Jan. 1, 2003.
They are:
If your Off-Highway Vehicle was manufactured before Jan. 1, 1986, the noise limit is 101 dbA.
If your Off-Highway Vehicle was manufactured on or after Jan. 1, 1986, the noise limit is 96 dbA.
If your competition Off-Highway Vehicle was manufactured before Jan. 1, 1998, the noise limit is 101 dbA.
If your competition Off-Highway Vehicle was manufactured on or after Jan. 1, 1998, the noise limit is 96 dbA.
