Authorities and family members of a missing 15-year-old South Lake Tahoe girl are asking for the public's help.

Raina Nicole Suydam was last seen Dec. 28 at her Glenwood/Rancho Circle area home in South Lake Tahoe.

Her mother, Nicky Van Suydam, said her daughter suffers from a severe heart condition called cardiomyopathy and needs her medication.

While Raina has run away from home before, authorities and her mother are concerned about her safety because she did not take any belongings or warm clothes and because of her heart condition.

"We have been in contact with the police, who are looking for her," Nicky Van Suydam said. "What I'm concerned about is that she left with nothing, and there have been thousands of people in town."

Raina is 5 feet, 5 inches tall, and has brown hair just past her shoulders, brown eyes and a slender build. She weighs approximately 100 pounds.
