Obituary: Edward F. Hill

Edward F. Hill, 83, a Carson City resident for the past two years and former Smith Valley resident for 12 years, died Jan. 25, 2003, at Carson-Tahoe Hospital. He was born June 26, 1919, in Tonopah, to Dennis and Margaret O'Donahue Hill.

He married Rosalee Hamby May 28, 1944, in Reno.

Mr. Hill was a real estate broker in Reno for several years. He owned and operated Hill & Hill Appliances in Reno and Carson City. He was public administrator for Washoe County for 16 years. He was a life member of the Elks Club in Reno. He was a Catholic.

He served in the U.S. Navy.

He was preceded in death by his son Edward J., in 1982; brothers Jack, Denny and Tommy; and sister, Margaret Ottini.

Among his survivors are his wife, Rosalee of Carson City; sons John and Richard, both of Reno, James of Yerington and Patrick of Carson City; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

No service is scheduled.

Private inurnment will be at Our Mother of Sorrow Cemetery in Reno.

Capitol City Cremation & Burial Society is in charge of arrangements.
