Lena E. McNally, 87, a Carson City resident for the past 15 years, died July 22, 2003, in Carson City. She was born Dec. 4, 1915, in Fredonia, Kan., to George F. and Lenora Weber Evans.

She graduated from high school in Torrance, Calif.

She married Ernest Harper in July 1941 in California.

Before moving to Carson City, she lived in Southern California for many years.

Mrs. McNally was a bookkeeper for a retail automobile agency. She was active at the Carson City Senior Citizens Center. She loved crafting and reading.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Ernest Harper in 1966; and second husband, J. Paul McNally in 1999.

Among her survivors are her son, George Harper of Carson City; cousin, Pearl Johnson of Riverside, Calif.; grandchildren Matt Harper of Anaheim, Calif., Karen Harper of Reno and David Harper of Yorba Linda, Calif.; and great-grandchildren Devyn and Donnovon Harper.

At her request, no service will be held.

Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
