Carson High's Ali Banister and Galena High's Janine Bodo were among the two University of Nevada athletes honored by the Western Athletic Conference for their academics.
Banister was named to the all-WAC freshmen/newcomer team for all sports for the past school year while Bodo was named to the all-WAC academic team for spring sports.
Banister, a freshman on Nevada's soccer team, has a 3.33 grade point average in psychology. Bodo, a sophomore on the Wolf Pack's track team, has a 3.75 G.P.A. in art.
