Another strong performance for Carson's Heberger

Aaron Heberger turned in another solid performance for the Carson High Rodeo Club with a trio of second-place finishes last weekend at the Las Vegas High Rodeo.

Heberger, a Washoe Valley resident who competes for the Carson club, placed second in calf roping and in steer wrestling to go with second-place in the team roping on Saturday in Las Vegas.

Heberger combined with Lori Hardy to finish second in Saturday's team roping with a time of 8.11 seconds.

On Sunday, Heberger took second in calf roping as he logged a time of 11.85 seconds and he was second in steer wrestling with a 7.03 clocking. He also finished fourth in Saturday's steer wrestling with an 8.11 clocking.

Carson teammate Keston Denney also placed third in bull riding. He was fourth in steer wrestling with a time of 8.39 on Sunday and fifth with a time of 8.87 on Saturday. Denney combined with Kyle Moore to finish ninth in Sunday's team roping.

Carson's Jesse Bartorelli placed second in bareback riding on Saturday. Alyce Coffee Kugler was ninth in barrel racing on Saturday in a time of 18.431 that was only two-tenths of a second out of second, and she tied for 10th in girls cutting.
