Kristel Thompson scored twice and Abigail Lupena scored once for the Dayton girls soccer team in its win over Fernley. Kaitlen McKinnon made 10 saves to post the shutout.
DAYTON BOYS 5, FERNLEY 0
Jesse Gutierrez scored four of the five goals for the Dayton boys soccer team (4-2-1, 2-1-1 in the Northern 3A). Miguel Lozada scored the other goal and Jader Morales and Randy Contreras each added an assist. Servando Benitez made five saves to post the shutout.
CARSON JV GIRLS 1, DOUGLAS 1
Delaney Battista scored to give Douglas (8-0-1) a 1-0 lead and Jill Coates scored to force the tie for the Carson junior varsity girls soccer team (7-1-1).
"Both teams played an outstanding game," Carson coach Greg Davis said.
