McIntosh to walk on at Nevada

Douglas High's Andy McIntosh will join teammate Luke Rippee and walk on with the University of Nevada football team, NevadaPrep.com has reported.

McIntosh, a receiver, teamed with Rippee at quarterback to help lead the Tigers to an 11-1 mark last year. McIntosh, a 6-1, 190-pounder, caught 35 passes for 629 yards, averaging 18 yards per catch.

Like Rippee, McIntosh will be a preferred walk-on, meaning he will be guaranteed a spot on the team. McIntosh ran a 4.58 40-yard dash at last spring's NevadaPrep.com combine.
