A funeral for Kerry Riley McDole, 47, a Gardnerville resident for the past 12 years, will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Minden.

Visitation will be at 12:30 p.m. Thursday at the church.

Mr. McDole died Dec. 19, 2004, at home. He was born March 23, 1957, in Newton, N.J., to Lewis and Eleanor McDole.

He graduated from Northern Arizona University in 1981 with a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.

Before moving to Gardnerville, he lived in Winnemucca.

Mr. McDole worked with Sierra Pacific Power Co. at the North Valmy Station for 11 years and was an engineer from 1992 to 1995 at Bently Nevada Corp. He enjoyed time with his family. His hobbies included ham radio, building model engines and his dog, Uchi. He was a member of the LDS Church.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Among his survivors are his wife, Susan of Gardnerville; son, Thoren and daughter, Katie McDole, both of Seattle; mother and brother, Kevin, both of Sparta, N.J.; and sisters Maureen Devito of Eatontown, N.J., Molly Weitz of Springfield, Va., and Mayra Herdman of Newton.

Burial will be at Eastside Memorial Park in Minden.

FitzHenry's Carson Valley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
