Services will be Wednesday for Thelma Dean Bourgeois of Carson City, who died Feb. 3, 2004, at Carson-Tahoe Hospital. She was 87.

Services will begin at 2 p.m. at Our Lady of Tahoe Catholic Church, West Elk Point Road, Round Hill. A gathering of friends will follow the service at the home of Jenny Burton, 3615 Aspen, South Lake Tahoe. For more information, call (530) 541-4946.

She was born Jan. 23, 1917, in Indiana. She lived in San Francisco during World War II and spent several years in Southern California before moving to Lake Tahoe in the early 1960s.

She married V.J. Bourgeois in 1962, and they spent almost 30 years in Zephyr Heights. He died in 1990.

She was a waitress at Harvey's Top of the Wheel, the Pony Express at Harrah's Lake Tahoe and the M.S. Dixie.

She enjoyed small social gatherings. She was a long-time member of Our Lady of Tahoe Catholic Church.

She is survived by her son, David Karch of Las Vegas; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one niece; and one nephew.
