A funeral Mass for Douglas Robert Paul, 49, a Carson City resident, will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Teresa Catholic Church.

There will be a Rosary at 6 p.m. Sunday at Walton's Chapel of the Valley.

Mr. Paul died July 14, 2004, in Carson City. He was born March 10, 1955, in Havre, Mont., to L. William and Elizabeth Paul.

He graduated from Carson High School in 1973 and from the University of Nevada, Reno.

While attending UNR, he won the 1977 Western Region Boxing Championship.

Mr. Paul was a captain with the Nevada Division of Forestry, where he served the state for more than 25 years.

He served in the U.S. Army in 1982.

Among his survivors are his sons, Phillip G. and Emory D., both of Carson City; daughter, Kirsten Eileen Marie Paul of Fullerton, Calif.; parents of Carson City; sisters Deborah Privett of American Falls, Idaho, and Teresa E. Dees of Carson City and brothers Larry W. of Fort Wayne, Ind., and Steven G. of Carson City.

Burial will be at Lone Mountain Cemetery. Friends may send a message to the family guest book at www.waltonsfuneralhomes.com. Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
