A service for Robert C. Nutt II, 57, a Gardnerville resident for the past four years, will be June 25 at St. John Neumann Catholic Church in St. Charles, Ill. Burial will be at Mary Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside, Ill.

Mr. Nutt died May 25, 2004, at home. He was born Oct. 20, 1946, in Chicago to Robert C. and Rita Nutt.

He married Holly Douglas in Chicago, and they divorced.

He married Velma "Vel" Oct. 20, 1990, in Redondo Beach, Calif.

Mr. Nutt was a machinist. He was an avid remote-control helicopter pilot.

He was preceded in death by his father April 7, 1986.

Among his survivors are his wife; children Robert C. Nutt III, Debbie and husband Bill Del Porte, and Heather and husband Brad Copper; stepchildren Richard L. Young II, Geraldine L. Young, Christine E. and husband Chuck Marino, and Barney Becklund; mother; sisters and brothers-in-law Charmane and David Berner, Liz and Bob Buckler, and Laurie and Jim O'Connell; brothers and sisters-in-law Steve and Val, Greg and Rose, and David and Renee; five grandchildren; 15 step-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and 16 nieces and nephews.

Capitol City Cremation is in charge or arrangements.
