The Carson High volleyball team couldn't sustain its high level of play in a 15-25, 15-25, 11-25 loss to Northern 2A power Whittell on Wednesday at Whittell.
Carson was coming off a hard fought loss against arch rival Douglas the night before in which it lost in four games.
"We played awesome last night," said Carson coach Shana Wilkins about the Douglas match. "It was hard for us to get up for a nonleague match. We didn't play very well."

Carson won the junior varsity match 26-24, 25-21. Whitney Hoote, Courtney Katafias and Alyssa Owens led the attack while Candice Rutledge and Brooke Conway led the defense.
