There was no letdown for the Galena volleyball team after an emotional five-game win over Fallon on Thursday in a showdown for first place in the High Desert League.
Galena came back on Friday and swept past Elko 25-8, 25-8, 25-14. Kate Wallace had 21 assists, Lydia Mailander had nine kills, three blocks, six aces and six digs, Jenny Burrows had seven kills, eight digs and three blocks, Julia Mailander had six kills, Michelle Drury had nine digs and two aces, Thalia McCann had nine assists and three aces and Nancy Burrows had five blocks for Galena (32-5, 11-0).
