The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent until proved guilty in court:


• Shawn Patterson, a 35-year-old warehouse worker from Carson City, was arrested at 8:46 a.m. Wednesday at Kit Sierra Loop Way and Sherman Lane on suspicion of felony child abuse with a deadly weapon and suspicion of misdemeanor domestic battery. Bail was set at $3,132.


• A 47-year-old Carson City man of unknown employment was arrested at 6:15 a.m. Wednesday in the 2000 block of Lone Mountain Drive on suspicion of misdemeanor domestic battery. Bail was set at $3,132.


• A 48-year-old unemployed Carson City man was arrested at 9:04 p.m. Wednesday in the 1500 block of Como Street on suspicion of misdemeanor DUI. Bail was set at $1,132.


• A 43-year-old carpenter from Carson City was arrested at 7:45 p.m. Wednesday in the 100 block of Jacobsen Way on a misdemeanor warrant for check fraud. Bail was set at $350.


• Pedro Gil, a 38-year-old landscaper from Carson City, was arrested at 4:05 p.m. Wednesday in the Carson City Jail on a felony warrant for trafficking a controlled substance (14-28 grams) and suspicion of felony trafficking a controlled substance (28 grams or more). Bail was set at $250,000.




- Deputies responded to the following calls:


• A business owner called to report there were a large number of "plain-clothes police types" on and near his business. U.S. Customs agents later searched the business and took evidence.


• A bicycle was reported stolen from a residence on Hot Springs Road.


• Two juveniles were spotted on a roof pointing pellet guns at cars.


• A father received a call from his daughter, whom he suspected was on methamphetamine.
