Nevada Highway Patrol troopers cited two Minden teenagers about 1:30 p.m. Thursday for allegedly pointing firearms at two drivers northbound on Highway 395 in Washoe Valley.

A 16-year-old boy and 17-year-old boy allegedly used three toy guns and a black BB gun to intimidate drivers. A caller northbound on Highway 395 said he saw each of the boys pointing a gun at the drivers of at least two other vehicles.

Troopers stopped the teenagers in a gray Toyota SUV near the Damonte Ranch Parkway interchange in a "high-risk" traffic stop. The teenagers were released to the custody of their parents after being cited for brandishing a firearm.

Officials did not release the names of the teens because of their ages.
