A funeral for Patricia Ann Riggs, 68, a Fallon resident for the past 22 years, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 450 N. Taylor St., Fallon. A luncheon will follow the service.

Mrs. Riggs died Dec. 31, 2004, at home.

She was born Jan. 28, 1936, in Bell, Calif., to Wesley and Frieda Alexander.

She attended schools in California, including San Diego State University, from which she graduated with honors with a degree in sociology.

Before moving to Fallon, she lived in Reno, where she was the Nevada manager for Photo-Mat until its closure. She worked in communications for the airlines and at the Excel Phone Center as a trouble-shooter. After moving to Fallon, she was the manager for the human resources department at Banner Churchill Community Hospital for one year before retiring.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and a member of the Business and Professional Women of Fallon.

Among her survivors are her husband of 31 years, Jack of Fallon; children and spouses Michael and Marjorie Riggs of Reno, Kristalene and Michael Powers of Bonsall, Calif., Steven T. Riggs of San Diego, Robin S. Riggs of Silver Springs, Kenneth and Catherine Riske of Fallon, and David and Alisa Riske of Carson City; grandchildren Benjamin, Kevin, Jacob, Jason, Kiara, Kylie and Sarah; and two great-grandchildren.

Burial will be at 2 p.m. at the Northern Nevada Veterans Cemetery in Fernley.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Perpetual Education Fund, 50 East North Temple 84, Salt Lake City, Utah 84150-1501 in her name.

The Gardens Funeral Home-Crematory and Cemetery is in charge of arrangements.
