Mildred 'Mickey' Kell

A funeral service for Mildred "Mickey" Kell, 79, a Carson City resident for the past 15 years, will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at FitzHenry's Chapel of Faith. Visitation will be Monday from 2-4 p.m. at FitzHenry's Funeral Home.

Mrs. Kell died Jan. 13, 2005, at Carson-Tahoe Hospital.

She was born Nov. 29, 1925, in Oklahoma to Joe and Nannie Gabbard Gipson.

She married William Kell on Dec. 5, 1954, in Las Vegas.

Before moving to Carson City, she lived in Australia.

She was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her friends at the local casinos. She enjoyed outdoor activities and was a gourmet cook.

Among her survivors are her husband of Carson City; daughters Ida Cornell of Idaho, and Shay Paddock of San Jose, Calif.; and grandchildren Bryan Paddock and Kelley Wall, of California, and Terry LaCoy and Robert Cornell of Idaho.

Burial at Lone Mountain Cemetery will follow the funeral service.

FitzHenry's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
