You probably noticed that today's edition of the Nevada Appeal was a little buggy.

Yes, there are bugs everywhere.

The front-page story about the invasion of ground beetles has been the talk of the day. One reader called in to say the paper that was thrown in her driveway killed a beetle.

There have also been many reports of hummingbird moths in the area. I didn't know these existed until last Monday when my wife Tracy called me outside to check out two of these strange creatures. At first, I thought they were hummingbirds, but the wings are too much like a moth. It was really amazing to watch them zip around the flowerbed.

I went inside and typed "hummingbird moth" into Google and there it was.

Since then, we've heard a lot about these things. If you anyone else has photos or video of them, send it my way. Thanks.
