Nevada fishing seasons also closing on Nov. 15

The 2005 fishing seasons will close on Nov. 15 at Blue Lakes, Catnip Reservoir, Knott Creek Reservoir and Onion Valley Reservoir. All of those waters are located in northern Humboldt County.

Blue Lakes has a limit of five trout. Only boats without motors are permitted and the area is closed to vehicular traffic. It will re-open on the second Saturday in June.

Catnip Reservoir has a limit of zero fish, catch and release fishing only, with artificial flies or lures, with single barbless hooks. It will re-open on Sept. 1.

Knott Creek Reservoir has a limit of one trout, minimum size of 18 inches. Only artificial lures with single barbless hooks may be used. Boats must be operated at a speed that leaves a flat wake and in no case, exceed five nautical miles per hour. It will re-open on the second Saturday in June.

Onion Valley Reservoir has a limit of five trout. Boats must be operated no faster than five nautical miles per hour. It will re-open on the second Saturday in June.
