A memorial service for George Washington Sager, 90, a Carson City resident for the past 27 years, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Wood River Chapel in Hailey, Idaho.

Mr. Sager died Nov. 5, 2005, in Twin Falls, Idaho. He was born Feb. 22, 1915, in Glencoe, Okla.

He married Bernice Hobart Sager in July 1985, in Carson City.

Before moving to Carson City, he lived in Westminster, Calif.

He attended high school.

Mr. Sager retired from oil field work. He was a member of the Carson Masonic Lodge and the Shrine Lodge of Reno.

He was a member of the U.S. Marine Corps.

He was preceded in death by daughter Malanie Wilburn in October 2003 in Delano, Calif., and son-in-law Harold Wilburn in October 2005 in Redding, Calif.

Among his survivors are his wife of Hailey; daughter and son-in-law Pam and John Dooley of Santa Rosa, Calif.; son and daughter-in-law Mike and Sandra Sager of Wenatchee, Wash., and Ecuador; grandchildren Shannon Graham of Salinas, Calif., Brandi Dooley of Santa Rosa, Calif., Mishel Sager of Albuquerque, N.M., Buddy Sager of Wenatchee and Craig Wilburn, Mark Wilburn and Shelly Bailey, all of Redding, Calif., and 12 great-grandchildren.

Burial will be at Hailey, Idaho. Wood River Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
