A graveside service for Reginald William Reymus, 58, a Schurz resident, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Schurz Cemetery. Visitation will be at 6 p.m. Friday at the Freitas Rupracht Funeral Home in Yerington.

Mr. Reymus died April 7, 2006, in Schurz.

He was born Nov. 15, 1947, in Schurz, to Lester and Betty Johnson Reymus.

Before moving to Schurz, he lived in Carson City until 1987.

He was a master carpenter for 38 years.

Mr. Reymus served in the U.S. Army as a Spc. 4 from 1967 to 1969.

He obtained a U.S. patent in 2005 for inventing an innovative fascia board hanger for roof construction.

He enjoyed skiing, camping, drawing and painting.

He was preceded in death by his father and son, Justin Reymus.

Among his survivors are his mother of Schurz; sisters Karen Thompson, of Prescott, Ariz. and Cindy Benjamin of Schurz; brother David Johnson of Schurz; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Freitas Rupracht Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
