The Nevada State Contractors Board is offering an awareness program to help protect senior citizens when dealing with both licensed and unlicensed contractors.
A spokesman said the idea is to help seniors know and understand their rights in dealing with contractors and provide tips on how to protect themselves from unlicensed contractors.
Representatives from the board are available both in Northern and Southern Nevada to present the educational program before senior groups. To schedule a presentation, call 688-1141.
