A funeral for Betty Elizabeth Koehler, 92, a 30-year Gardnerville resident, will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at St. Gall Catholic Church in Gardnerville. A viewing will be two hours prior to the service.

Mrs. Koehler died Aug. 18, 2006, at the Tahoe Pacific Hospital in Reno.

She was born Sept. 29, 1913, in Weston, Colo., to Phillip and Mary Tamburello.

She married Charles Koehler July 18, 1933, in Denver.

She was a real estate agent and a homemaker.

She belonged to St. Gall Catholic Church and spent time at the senior center and Carson Valley Inn.

She supported the Alzheimer's Association, the American Cancer Society, veterans associations, and the Senior Center Meals on Wheels program.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1996; her sisters Margie Moore, Rose Tamburello and Marian Griffey, all of Denver; and brothers Pete and George Tamburello, all of Denver.

Among her survivors are her son and daughter-in-law Jerry and Joann Koehler of San Leandro, Calif.; son James Koehler of Lake of the Pines, Calif.; daughter, Marlene Koehler of Gardnerville; sisters Jeanne Skinner and Teresa Tamburello, both of Colorado; brothers Ray, Chris, Joseph and John Tamburello, all of Colorado; 12 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and 28 nieces and nephews.

Burial will take place at 1 p.m. Aug. 29 at the Sunset Mausoleum in El Cerreta, Calif.
