Carson City's Mike Peralta won his professional boxing debut on Thursday, taking a unanimous decision over Shawn Yacoubian in a super lightweight bout at the Irvine (Calif.) Marriott.
Peralta won all four rounds on all three judges' scorecards, winning on each scorecard 40-36.
"He dominated him," said Quentin Blue Horse, Peralta's manager. "He looked really good."
"Kallen's really happy," Blue Horse also said about promoter Jackie Kallen, who has helped Peralta's cause.
"I felt good," Peralta said. "I felt confident the whole time. Things went my way. I felt like I taught him a boxing lesson. I felt like everything went well."
