A rosary will be said for Ann Marich, 86, an eight-month Yerington resident, at 8 p.m. Thursday at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Ely. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Friday at the church, with burial taking place at the Ely Cemetery.

Mrs. Marich died Dec. 19, 2006, at her daughter's home in Yerington. She was born Feb. 19, 1920, to Tony Budak and Mary Ann Rubcich Budak.

She married George A. Marich in 1939.

Before moving to Yerington, Mrs. Marich had lived in Ely for 67 years. Before that she'd lived in Reipe Town and in Old Ruth. She had lived in Nevada since 1938.

She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Ely, the Lady of Snows Guild, and the Croation Fraternal Union.

She enjoyed baking, gardening, and crafts.

She was preceded in death by her husband; by sons Craig and Michael Marich; by brothers Johnny, George, Mike and Marko Budak; and sisters Antonia and Josephine.

Among her survivors are her son and daughter-in-law Andrew and Linda Marich; daughter and son-in-law Mariann and Ward; nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; and several friends and extended family members.

Freitas Rupracht Funeral Home in Yerington is in charge of arrangements.
