A funeral service for Jacqueline M. "Jackie" Whitesides, 83, a six-year resident of Carson City, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at FitzHenry's Chapel of Faith. A cryptside service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Skylawn Memorial Park in San Mateo, Calif.

Mrs. Whitesides died Feb. 18, 2006, at Carson Tahoe Regional Medical Center. She was born May 9, 1922, in San Francisco to Rider S. and Marie Marcacci-Manuel.

Before moving to Carson City, she lived in Daly City, Calif.

She enjoyed bridge, jigsaw puzzles, needlepoint and taking cruises.

She was an active member of P.E.O. Sisterhood Chapter AA and Carson City Emblem Club No. 507.

She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Paul of Carson City; sons John of Carson City and Scott of Vallejo, Calif.; granddaughter, Lisa Foley of San Mateo; and great-grandchildren DJ and Katie Goldin and Elizabeth and Samantha Foley of San Mateo.

FitzHenry's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
