The Carson American 9-10-year-old all-stars fought back, but couldn't hold on in a 14-12 loss to Sparks Centennial in the District I Tournament at Centennial Fields.
Carson American trailed 5-0 after the first inning, but came back to take a 12-9 lead. Sparks, though,scored five runs in the bottom of the fifth.
Zach Andrews had four hits and a double, Ben Allbritten had three hits and a double, Andy Cooper had two hits, Zak Harjes doubled and Josiah Pongasi, Chazz Nystrom and Ronny Orzalli all added a hit. Jace Sampirro pitched well for Carson, which finished 1-3 in the tournament.
